St. George Royal Ark Mariners Lodge No 553
 
At Garston Masonic Hall on the 14th March 2023, the Commander W.Bro. David W. Johnson welcomed W.Bro. Michael John Clarke RAMGR who represented R.W. Provincial Grand Master, along with his colleagues the holders of RAM Grand Rank.
The Worshipful Commander requested Commander Elect to be presented to him and Bro Peter Leonard Craven was then duly presented.
The Installing Commander asked the usual questions, which were answered in the traditional manner. The Installing Commander requested all below the rank of an Installed Commander to withdraw.
 
W.Bro. David Johnson opened the Assembly of Installed  Commander and performed the Ceremony of Installation in an impeccable manner.
 
The Commander, W.Bro. Peter Leonard Craven then invested W.Bro. David as the Immediate Past Commander and duly thanked him for his assistance in gaining the chair of St George Royal Ark Mariner Lodge 553.
Following the closing of the Assembly of Installed Commanders, the brethren were re-admitted into the Lodge and the investiture of officers took place.
The Keystone and the Mark Benevolent Jewels were presented and explained by V.W.Bro. Derek Horrocks who is the PGMs Special Representative for Garston.
W.Bro. Michael John Clarke gave the Royal Ark Mariner Exposition to the Brethren, and then thanked all who had taken part in the ceremony, and then he congratulated the new Worshipful Commander.
 
The Worshipful Commander then presented a Cheque of £100 to the West Lancashire Charities and a Cheque of £100 to Garston Masonic Hall.
 
At the Rising W.Bro. Michael John Clarke presented Royal Ark Mariner certificates to St George two new members Bro's David Cairns and Mike Moore.
Food for thought - Is this the oldest chaplain in the Province?
Congratulations W.Bro. Jim Mylan ProvRAMGR - 101 years young in June.
